DOE opens funding opportunity for HALEU transport packages |
The Department of Energy announced November 19 that up to $16 million is available through a new High-Assay Low-Enrichment Transportation Package funding opportunity to research, develop, and acquire Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing for transportation of HALEU—using new or modified packages. |

DOE Awards $5 Million for Second Phase of Advanced Reactor Experiment Designs |
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a total of $5 million to Radiant Industries, Inc. and Westinghouse to progress their microreactor designs for testing in the new Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments (DOME) test bed at Idaho National Laboratory. |

Nuclear Energy Comeback Action Is at the State Level |
This is indeed an extraordinary time to be in nuclear energy. Case in point: Over the past few months, we have seen an announcement between Microsoft and Constellation Energy to restart the Three Mile Island nuclear plant, a $1.5 billion loan guarantee from the Department of Energy (DOE) to restart another reactor in Michigan, and a new DOE liftoff report on how to build new nuclear facilities. |
